Seattle Chocolate Company announces the 2015 every chocolate gives campaign, the company's biggest - and most delicious - anti-hunger campaign in company history
SEATTLE, Sept. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Starting this month, every chocolate gives. In an effort to further raise awareness for food instability in America, Seattle Chocolate Company is gearing up for the largest giveback in company history, and making it deliciously easy to join the fight against hunger. Launching in September, in conjunction with Hunger Action Month, and running through December 2015, the every chocolate gives campaign will donate a serving of fresh food to local foodbanks for every chocolate purchase made online (seattlechocolates.com) or at either of their Washington retail locations in Bellevue or Tukwila. In addition, a donation will also be made for each use of #chocolategives throughout the campaign timeframe.
Both Seattle Chocolates and jcoco product lines are included in every chocolate gives, including bars, truffles and gift boxes, and the new jcoco and Seattle Chocolate bar flavors being introduced later this fall. Each and every purchase will help provide donations to local food banks during Hunger Action Month and throughout the busy holiday season: buy three chocolate gift boxes, we donate three food servings; buy a vibrant 12-bar stack of Seattle Chocolate truffle bars, we donate 12 servings of fresh food.
“Our greatest joy is connecting with people through our chocolate”, explains Jean Thompson, Seattle Chocolate Company owner and CEO. “Chocolate is one of the most universally loved gifts – to get and to give – and every chocolate gives helps provide food assistance to local communities in need across America. To date we’ve donated more than 500,000 servings of fresh food, and our goal is to make it to one million by the end of the holidays. We would love your help!”
Seattle Chocolate Company already partners with Food Bank For New York City, Greater Boston Food Bank, SF-Marin Food Bank and Northwest Harvest, and continues to add local partners wherever its products are distributed.
“Food insecurity is a devastating issue for American communities,” said Margarette Purvis, President and CEO of Food Bank For New York City. “But it is an issue we can do something about. In New York City alone, one in five people rely on soup kitchens and food pantries. We depend greatly on generous partners like Seattle Chocolate Company, who both donate and help raise awareness through campaigns like every chocolate gives. We are thrilled to collaborate with them, especially during our 10th annual Go Orange to End Hunger™ Campaign.”
