LAUNCHES FUNDRAISER WITH USA CARES TO SUPPORT APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
CLEVELAND, Nov. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Making the transition back to civilian life can be stressful for many veterans. To help, Marco’s Pizza has partnered with USACares, a non-profit organization that provides financial and job assistance to post 9/11 active duty US military service personnel, veterans and their families. Working together, Marco’s and USA Cares will identify veterans who are interested in becoming Marco’s Pizza franchisees and through the pizza maker’s Apprenticeship Program, financial assistance is provided to make the dream of becoming a business owner a reality.
To help fund this program and job assistance activities at USA Cares, Marco’s Pizza stores across the country will be offering customers a FREE Cheezybread, good with a coupon on their next visit, in return for a $1 donation to veterans from November 2 through Veteran’s Day on November 11. Marco’s is also challenging stores to raise the most funds, honoring employees at stores with the highest fundraising levels the chance to go the Military Bowl in Annapolis, MD.
