In the wake of suicides broadcast on Facebook Live, Facebook is launching new artificial intelligence tools to help people who may be thinking of suicide. Supports include integrated suicide prevention resources to help people in real time on Facebook Live; live chat support from crisis organizations through Messenger; and streamlined reporting for suicide, assisted by artificial intelligence.
Brands Line Up to Support Women’s Issues, Gender Equality
Several brands are rolling out female-centric campaigns in celebration of Women’s History Month in March as well as International Women’s Day on March 8th. Brawny paper towels will change their packaging in Walmart stores as part of their #StrengthHasNoGender campaign. Procter & Gamble is unifying its family of brands against gender bias in a digital campaign called #WeSeeEqual. General Electric is celebrating strong women in science with the launch of its new SciMojis for iMessage, showcasing top female scientists throughout history.
