MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis., March 3, 2016 – Kohl’s (NYSE: KSS) today announced a total of $51 million in philanthropic giving in 2015. The donations include nearly $16 million in corporate grants through Kohl’s premier associate volunteer program and approximately $19 million donated through Kohl’s Cares® cause merchandise, in addition to other philanthropic giving.

Each year, thousands of Kohl’s associates volunteer their time and talents to youth-serving nonprofits in communities across the country. With every qualifying event, the participating organization receives a $500 grant from Kohl’s. In 2015, associates volunteered nearly 500,000 hours benefiting more than 7,700 nonprofit organizations
through Associates in Action. Since the program’s inception in 2001, more than 3.7 million hours have been volunteered and Kohl’s has donated more than $112 million in corporate grants.
Kohl’s volunteer program is part of the company’s overall philanthropic platform, Kohl’s Cares, which includes the Kohl’s Cares Hospital Program and Kohl’s Cares cause merchandise. The merchandise features children’s books and soft toys for just $5 each, with 100 percent of net profit benefiting children’s health programs nationwide. Since
