Texas-based Vodka Label Plans Expansion Throughout Texas, California
DALLAS, July 2, 2015 /PR Newswire/ — Equality Vodka, a Texas-based special label vodka plans expansion of their brand following the Supreme Court marriage equality decision. The vodka label donates a portion from the sell of every bottle to non-profits that promote the advancement of civil rights for LGBTQI communities.
“With the Supreme Court decision in marriage equality we have won a battle, but the fight for full equality in LGBTQI communities continues,” said Equality Vodka co-founder Bert Gallagher, Jr. “While we should celebrate this landmark achievement and honor those who played a role in its success, there is a lot more work to do.”
Equality Vodka selected Lambda Legal, the nation’s first legal organization dedicated to achieving full equality for LGBTQI people, as the first recipient to receive donated proceeds. With plans to expand into additional markets throughout Texas and into California, Equality Vodka will be able to provide more resources to continue to support LGBTQI causes.
Co-founder Doug Jacobson says the positive response to Equality Vodka has enabled the brand to move towards greater expansion. “We are humbled by the early success of our vodka brand, and look forward to being represented in cities throughout the U.S. and beyond.”
Equality Vodka anticipates near-future distribution in California, and has attracted the attention of Hollywood. Director and producer Del Shores is eager to help. “I love everything about Equality Vodka and what they are doing for our communities. I support their mission and goals, and I’m excited to have them here in California.”
Equality Vodka encourages supporters to ask their local bars, restaurants and retail establishments to stock the brand.
