VANITY FAIR LINGERIE TO DONATE 50,000 NEW BRAS TO DRESS FOR SUCCESS® WORLDWIDE
BOWLING GREEN, Ky., Sept. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — The makers of Vanity Fair® lingerie have been supporting women for nearly 100 years. This fall, Vanity Fair is giving a different kind of support to women across the country in need of a special lift.
Vanity Fair kicks off Buy One, Get One, Give One, a series of in-store nationwide events that promises to donate 50,000 brand-new bras to Dress for Success® Worldwide.
“At Vanity Fair, we believe a bra can change a life, so when shoppers buy one Vanity Fair® bra in-store, they will get one for free and Vanity Fair will donate a new bra to Dress for Success on their behalf to help a woman on her journey to economic independence,” said JoAnna Beddingfield, Vice President of Brand Management for Vanity Fair Brands, LP.
Through this initiative, Vanity Fair has committed to donate 50,000 brand-new bras to Dress for Success, in hopes to provide one bra to every woman who walks through the doors of Dress for Success this year. Vanity Fair will also give a monetary donation to further support the organization.
“Many of the women who reach out to Dress for Success are looking to get back on their feet and are often searching for a job,” said Joi Gordon, CEO of Dress for Success Worldwide. “When selecting a great suit for an upcoming job interview, women can now pick out a new bra to provide the right foundation and support needed to give them the confidence and encouragement to have a successful interview.”
Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, career development tools and a network of support. Since the inception of Dress for Success in 1997, the organization has helped more than 850,000 women around the world on their journey to attaining self-sufficiency.
Vanity Fair will host Buy One, Get One, Give One events at the following national and regional retailers chainwide this fall:

JCPenney: Oct. 7 – Oct. 12, 2015
Sears: Oct. 11 – Oct. 17, 2015
Macy’s: Oct. 14 – Oct. 18, 2015
Bealls: Oct. 18 – Oct. 24, 2015
Boscov’s: Oct. 25 – Oct. 31, 2015
Belk: Nov. 1 – Nov. 8, 2015
Vanity Fair will also host fit events at designated retail locations across the country where shoppers will have an opportunity to receive a free bra fitting from Vanity Fair fit experts.
“Each shopper who purchases a Vanity Fair® bra during these events will have the opportunity to write an inspirational message to the recipient of the donated bra,” said Beddingfield. “We hope this note will help encourage the women of Dress for Success and inspire the confidence they need to achieve their goals.”
Vanity Fair first partnered with Dress for Success in 2014 for the Vanity Fair LiftTOUR, a nationwide bus tour focused on fit and philanthropy. Dress for Success noticed a need for more intimate apparel to provide to its clients and Vanity Fair welcomed the opportunity to lend its expertise, resources and extensive product offering to help replenish the lingerie of the non-profit organization.
Through the efforts of the Vanity Fair LiftTOUR in 2014, Vanity Fair donated more than 5,000 brand-new bras to Dress for Success and is looking forward to significantly increasing that donation to 50,000 bras in 2015.
