Bombas, the brand that began with a mission to donate a pair of socks for every pair sold, introduces an impactful social good initiative, 60k Day. On any given night, there are an estimated 60,000 men, women, and children who are homeless in New York City. With that in mind, Bombas has set out to bring together 60 of New York’s most influential companies to volunteer with and support 60 New York-based shelters and service centers, to collectively donate 60,000 pairs of socks in one evening. Paired with other acts of good, this initiative further punctuates the brand’s drive to empower others to act charitably within their own communities.
After discovering socks are the #1 most requested clothing item in homeless shelters, founders David Heath and Randy Goldberg established Bombas in 2013 to help solve this problem. To date, Bombas has donated more than two million pairs of their specially engineered donation socks to those in need across the country.
