Before joining EFG, Muneer spent his career building and scaling corporate partnership programs at some of the most recognized mission-driven organizations in the country. At The Trevor Project, he led a team of 20 that grew annual revenue by 1,600% over five years, from $2 million to $35 million, across corporate partnerships, foundation giving, and government grants. At DoSomething.org, he tripled annual revenue in three years and secured more than a dozen new brand partners. Across his career, he has raised more than $130 million from Fortune 100 corporations, multinational foundations, and government agencies, building partnerships with 250+ companies including Google, United Airlines, Macy’s, Abercrombie & Fitch, AT&T, and Toyota.
His partnership work has been recognized with 10 Halo Awards, including the coveted Golden Halo, and accolades from Adweek, Fast Company, TIME, the Webby Awards, PR Week, and more.
As a longtime member of the Engage for Good community, Muneer brings both continuity and momentum to his role as CEO. He is a sought-after speaker and expert on corporate-nonprofit partnerships, cause marketing, CSR, and fundraising strategy, and has delivered keynotes at the World Economic Forum, IE University Madrid, and Benevity’s Goodness Matters, among others. He has been featured in Forbes, USA Today, PRWeek, Nonprofit Pro, The Advocate, and Out Magazine.
Muneer is also a trained DEI facilitator and serves on the Board of Directors of Rainbow Railroad, a global organization that rescues LGBTQ+ people facing persecution.
