The Engage for Good Fellowship

A paid, remote, seven-month fellowship for young professionals, or experienced professionals with a few years in the impact field, who want to own real work in corporate social impact.

ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP

Engage for Good is launching its first fellowship program. It's built for early-career professionals and career-changers, whether you're already working in social impact or looking to move into it.
Each fellow owns a defined workstream on one of our teams. A team lead sets priorities and reviews your work, and our Fellowship Manager looks after your overall experience. You'll also take on a stretch project of your own: something you build from start to finish and can point to in your portfolio afterward.
This is not an internship. It's paid, it's real work, and it comes with real ownership.

WHAT YOU'LL GET

  • A real workstream and a stretch project. You own both, and you leave with something concrete to show for seven months.
  • Two people in your corner. A team lead who directs the work, and a Fellowship Manager who checks in with you weekly about how it’s going.
  • A say in your own goals. You help set your goals for the seven months, and we check in with you at 30, 90, and 210 days.
  • Professional development built in, such as sitting in on our member meetings (CALM and CSIM), a complimentary seat at our annual conference, observing Halo Awards judging, shadowing a consulting engagement, going behind the scenes on our webinars and podcast, and a published byline.
  • A reference and introductions. At the end, a reference or recommendation from your manager and/or our CEO, introductions to people in your field, and an open door to stay in touch.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Some professional experience in social impact or nonprofit work, or in another field with a real interest in moving into the sector.
  • Someone self-directed, who’s ready to own a workstream with support from a team lead.
  • A strong written communicator who can turn research and conversation into clear, actionable work.
  • Organized and deadline-driven, with the judgment to raise questions early rather than late.

How You Work

  • You keep your workstream moving without being chased.
  • You raise your hand early when you’re stuck or unsure.
  • You write clearly, and your work comes in ready to be reviewed for substance, not typos.
  • You keep a small remote team updated without being asked.

THE PROCESS

  1. Apply. Share your résumé, LinkedIn profile, and a few short answers. Marketing Fellow applicants also share samples of their work.
  2. First conversation. A conversation with the hiring manager for your role.
  3. Work exercise (Events Fellow). A short exercise that takes about 30 minutes.
  4. Second conversation. A conversation with two other members of our team.
  5. Reference check. Two calls with professional references, such as a former manager, supervisor, or professor.
  6. Offer. We’ll be in touch with a decision and an offer for our top candidate.

Apply by Friday, November 6, for priority consideration. We’ll continue to accept and review applications after that date until the roles are filled. Questions? Reach out to Linda at linda@engageforgood.com.
