By performing air squats, kettlebell swings, lunges and presses, Iron Tribe Fitness athletes have raised more than $500,000 for clean water wells and military veterans in the company’s first three years of operation by hosting annual, Workout of the Day (WOD) fundraisers for Neverthirst, a non-profit that builds clean water wells and Team Red, White and Blue (RWB), whose mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans.
Our Take:
This is a regional example of a trend we’re seeing more and more: a mash up of cause marketing and peer-to-peer fundraising through events. By leveraging the fundraising power of its customers and some additional matching donors, Iron Tribe Fitness was able to raise $500,000 for two causes, establishing a firm cause-based identity for the fitness franchise.
