Phil & Co., the creative marketing agency that works exclusively with nonprofits and companies doing good, has launched UnPhiltered, a new podcast delivering an insider’s look at the people, trends, issues and influences shaping the multibillion-dollar charitable giving industry.
UnPhiltered features Phil & Co. CEO Cliff Sloan in conversation with thought leaders, philanthropists, marketers and innovators. Previously, the podcast featured OkCupid in the second episode of a three part series focused on the 2018 Halo Award winners.
In the third installment of the Halo Award series, Cliff talks to Burlington Stores and AdoptAClassroom.org (AAC) about their partnership that raised 1.5 million dollars. Shockingly, more than 51% of America’s public school students are living below the poverty line and can’t afford to buy basic school supplies required each school year. To compensate, teachers are spending an average of $600 out of their own pockets to help prevent their students from falling behind. Burlington Stores and AAC joined forces to fight this “great big wrong” in our education system.
Their “Team Up to Support Teachers” campaign featured Oscar winner Common and won a Halo Award for Best Education Campaign at this year’s Engage for Good Conference, which Phil & Co. proudly sponsored.
