WASHINGTON, D.C., April 24, 2018 /3BL Media/ – Rebuilding Together, the leading home and community revitalization national non-profit organization, today announced the launch of [Re]Build, a grassroots movement to repair homes and revitalize communities across the country.
Through [Re]Build, the organization will increase its work to support families with young children, seniors, veterans, people with disabilities and victims of disaster. The goal of the campaign is to transform neighborhoods throughout the country into vibrant places, restoring pride, dignity and hope in every community. The organization will build on its 30 years history to bring together existing and new partners to strengthen communities and encourage everyone to be change-makers in their own neighborhood.
“Many of our neighbors live in conditions that are unacceptable for the United States in the 21st century. Children are unable to stay in school, people cannot gain employment, our seniors face heightened health issues, just because our country is unable to provide safe housing to everyone.” said Caroline Blakely, President and CEO of Rebuilding Together. “For 30 years, Rebuilding Together has repaired the homes of people in need and strengthened communities but more needs to be done. Through this campaign, we will accelerate our work and partner with our supporters to ensure everyone lives in a safe home and community.”[Re] will become a shorthand campaign symbol for the movement, the mission and impact of Rebuilding Together and all of those involved in this work. It will represent the many facets of the organization’s work including repairing homes, revitalizing communities, responding to disaster to help neighborhoods recover and restoring the sense of pride on streets, blocks and cities across the country.
