Full Job Description
The Peabody Essex Museum (PEM), one of the largest and most dynamic art museums in the nation, is seeking a Corporate Relations Officer. For over 220 years, PEM has been an anchor in the community, serving as a gathering place where anyone can learn, derive inspiration, and gain a deeper appreciation for shared human experiences from around the globe and through time.
As a key member of the museum’s Development team, the Corporate Relations Officer (CRO) will manage PEM’s annual Corporate Membership program and oversee its corporate sponsorships. Working with the Director of Institutional Giving, the CRO’s primary responsibilities include identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding Corporate Members; managing a volunteer Corporate Committee; identifying, securing and stewarding corporate sponsors; and working closely with professionals from the North Shore and Greater Boston.
PEM is looking for candidates who have experience successfully partnering with corporate funders/partners in the non-profit sector; are comfortable engaging with business leaders of all levels; are organized, detail-oriented, creative, and have the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Five years of work experience is required, including experience in fundraising and/or corporate philanthropy. Exceptional writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-suite are required; experience in Tessitura or other fundraising/CRM database is desirable. A bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
