Full Job Description
Lead business development within assigned geographic territory to meet organizational revenue goals and continue to diversify donor support. Identify and develop new corporate relationships to support corporate philanthropic giving and/or corporate social responsibility initiatives (e.g. cause-marketing campaigns, employee engagement, in-kind support, co-branding, etc.) to maximize awareness and revenue impact for the organization. Conduct on-going analysis of prospects within assigned territory and refine new prospect/donor selection and cultivation process. Reports to the Division Fundraising Vice President.
Job Description Responsibilities
Portfolio development/management: Implement overall fundraising strategy for assigned donor portfolio to maximize revenue growth and engage donors in the mission of the organization. Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue from primarily corporate accounts with significant capacity. Identify and qualify new donors with significant capacity. Ultimately, transition account to relationship manager for ongoing cultivation, stewardship and solicitation after programmatic support has been established.
Account development/solicitation: Execute strategies to identify and cultivate relationships with C-suite level contacts including securing meetings, making presentations, preparing proposals and directly soliciting funds from high-level contributors. Works collaboratively with other departments, and partners with development staff at the national and/or regional offices to prepare presentations and proposals matching the objectives and interests of the donor/prospect. Develop strategies to identify and leverage influencers to help grow relationships. Compile and analyze data/information about accounts in portfolio for the development of solicitation strategy.
Responsible for developing portfolio with 7-figure + donor capacity and propensity.
Scope: Externally interfaces with prospect/donor executive leadership. Internally interfaces with national/divisional/regional staff and volunteer leadership (e.g. board members, Tiffany Circle members, other influencers) program owners, support functions, etc.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline required. Degree in related discipline can be substituted.
Equivalent experience can be substituted for educational requirement portion of qualifications.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of fundraising and/or sales or marketing leadership experience (or equivalent). Must have extensive knowledge of fundraising and/or sales principles and techniques in large organizations. Must have successful track record in identification and solicitation of large revenue amounts.
Management Experience: None required. This position is an individual contributor. May have a direct report.
Skills and Abilities: Excellent organizational, collaborative, analytical, presentation and communication (oral and written) skills. Good project management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of fundraising database systems (e.g. Salesforce.com or other CRMs).
Other: Not applicable.
Travel: 25-40% business travel may be required. A current valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.

Pay: $74,874.00 – $204,367.00 per year
