Position Overview
The Account Supervisor is responsible for managing and maximizing a portfolio of current and new corporate sponsor accounts. The individual will help drive revenue by optimizing current sponsor programs, re-signing sponsors, identifying viable prospects to target, and contributing creative and strategic ideas for pitching new prospects and executing on new sponsorships.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of corporate cause marketing and bring 3-5 years of account management experience from an advertising or public relations agency or in corporate sponsorship management at a national non-profit organization.
The individual will be highly organized, a clear and strategic communicator, and a strong collaborator with both internal cross-functional teams and external partners.
Goals of this Role:
- Increase Corporate Sponsor team’s capacity for securing and managing additional corporate sponsors to drive additional revenue.
- Relieve Chief of Corporate Partnership and Marketing Officer of day-to-day account management responsibilities.
- Advance our reputation as a best-in-class nonprofit partner by providing a “white glove”, seamless experience for sponsors.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Account Management (70%)
- Serve as key contact and steward for a portfolio of corporate sponsor accounts.
- Collaborate with Corporate Sponsor team members to help manage larger, more complex sponsorship accounts.
- Serve as issue expert and strategic advisor to prospects and sponsors, from intro calls through sponsorship completion and/or renewal.
- Collaborate with supervisor to negotiate sponsorship fees and optimize unrestricted funds.
- Draft agreement/scope of work (SOW) and manage process through final execution.
- Manage sponsor invoicing and track financials with assistance from AdoptAClassroom.org (AAC) finance team.
- Set up and track new sponsor communication using Salesforce.
- Manage internal and external campaign kick-off calls.
- Build work-back calendars for internal and external use.
- Draft creative briefs for AAC internal marketing team.
- Manage AAC marketing and sponsor-marketing review and approval process.
- Direct final impact reports and content.
- Conduct internal and external debriefs, as needed.
New Business Acquisition (15%)
- Feed pipeline and prioritize viable prospects from your own professional network.
- Conduct research to identify growth industries and companies that align with AAC’s mission and have sponsorship potential.
Strategic, Creative & Innovative Thinking and Planning (15%)
- Participate in internal ideation sessions and help shape pitches, thought-starters, and proposals for prospects.
- Help shape sponsors’ giving programs and optimize their cause-marketing campaigns with fresh and innovative ideas, while taking into consideration AAC’s capabilities and capacity.
- Work closely with the sponsor’s and AAC’s marketing teams throughout the campaign planning and activation process to determine marketing needs (this will vary by sponsor), campaign creative, and key messaging.
Experience
3-5 years of corporate cause-marketing experience or corporate sponsorship/account management experience working for an advertising or public relations agency or a non-profit organization.
- Salesforce proficiency is a plus.
Salary to commensurate with experience: $55K – $75K

This position can be 100% remote, but may require occasional travel within the U.S. AdoptAClassroom.org is headquartered in Minneapolis-St.Paul, though we do have staff in satellite locations outside of Minnesota. Staff local to Minneapolis, MN can have access to our downtown office to work daily. Our office work environment is professional, tech-based, fast-paced, collaborative, relaxed, and friendly.
