According to this article on Brandchannel, water is a key topic at Davos this year. Matt Damon’s water.org is committed to providing microloans to finance projects that give access to clean water in developing countries.
Water.org is partnering with Stella Artois in a variety of ways. The brand’s “Buy a Lady a Drink” campaign (launched two years ago) supported Water.org through the sale of more than 225,000 Limited-Edition Chalices and by directly donated more than $3 million to Water.org. The brewer will donate money for each six-pack and 12-pack of beer purchased in the US and Britain.
Matt Damon said,
We’ve been working with them for a couple years, and through them, we’ve reached 800,000 people with clean water. So it’s been an incredible, effective campaign, and so we’re doubling down on that. And we’re going to try reach over the next four years 3.5 million more people with clean water solutions through Stella.
