Celebrating 10 years of its partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure® through its Specify for a Cure® cause marketing program, carpet manufacturer The Mohawk Group has developed a Facebook Honor Wall as an online tribute to the breast cancer community. This year, Mohawk is donating $.05 – $.25 per square yard of select carpets with a guaranteed minimum donation of $150,000. Those posting on the Facebook Honor Wall through December of 2011 will be entered to win one of five pink iPod Shuffles.
Our Take:
The Mohawk Group’s long-standing, $3.7 million partnership with Susan G. Komen certainly earns our respect, particularly in a B2B setting. Marking their ten-year commitment to this cause via a Facebook Honor Wall is a laudable goal but potentially challenging in this space and this season. We’re curious to see how this B2B company will mobilize employees and corporate customers to engage on this seemingly brand new Facebook page.
