Campaign: Room for Hope
Company: Hyatt Regency Boston
Nonprofit Partner: Children’s Hospital Boston
Launch Date: April, 2012
Campaign Description:
Children’s Hospital Boston and Hyatt Regency Boston have partnered in a specially-designed “Room for Hope”. Hyatt customers will be given the option to select this room knowing that proceeds from their stay will benefit Children’s Hospital Boston. The guest pays a daily rate plus a $45 donation to Children’s Hospital Boston, matched by Hyatt Regency Boston for a total of $90 per night being donated. The hotel will also raise funds through: donation asks at check-in, a round-up-the-change program in the hotel restaurant, giving envelopes in every room, and an online giving opportunity with a goal of raising $25,000 for Children’s Hospital Boston. The “Room for Hope” will be available until April of 2013.
Our Take:
This partnership does a fantastic job leveraging an existing company asset for good. The choice of a local hospital establishes this corporate brand as a meaningful local advocate. Inviting consumers to participate in a variety of ways at a variety of levels lowers the barrier to entry as well.
