For the month of February, The New York Palace hotel will invite visitors to participate in its new Have a Heart cause marketing program in partnership with the American Heart Association®'s Go Red For Women™ cause. The hotel will showcase the signature 'red dress' symbol throughout the hotel as well as offer a Have a Heart hotel package, a Heart-Healthy weekend brunch, and a specialty cocktail. The Palace will provide an undisclosed donation to the American Heart Association® in honor of guests who participate in its Have a Heart program.
Our Take:
This cause campaign seems well intended and The New York Palace is going well above and beyond a standard donation by including awareness-building elements such as incorporating the red dress in decor and offering heart-healthy meals. Disclosing the donation to AHA (whether a maximum or based on consumer action) would bring a much-needed element of transparency to this effort.
