Target today announced a cause marketing partnership with FEED Projects and Feeding America. The limited time FEED USA + Target collection will include products in home, sporting goods, stationery, and apparel and accessories, with prices ranging from $3.00 to $400.00. Available June 30th, each product will display the number of meals that will be donated to children and families through Feeding America as a result of the purchase.
Our Take:
Cause-branded products are going mainstream in a big way, it would appear! First, WalMart’s announcement last week of their online shop supporting small, women-owned businesses and now this cause-branded line from Target. We love the fact that each product will sport a donation equivalent, sharing how many meals will be donated from each purchase. Spreading the cause-love through the aisles of Target is also a great way to bring more attention and visibility to both the product line and the hunger cause. This effort is certainly one to watch.
