From October 17-November 30, Ford is asking college students to upload a 3-minute video showcasing their work with a local charity or nonprofit to the company's Facebook page. Three winners will be selected based upon voting results with the grand prize being a $5,000 scholarship for the user and $2,500 to their charity of choice.
Our Take:
Although it took us a few minutes to understand the significance of this particular campaign's name, the concept is intriguing. Ford is obviously targeting a millennial demographic via this campaign with this “some for me, some for you” promotion. At this post's writing, there were only 1287 fans of the page and one video uploaded. We're curious to know whether Ford is working behind the scenes with its existing nonprofit partners to spread the word about this campaign and solicit additional submissions.
